2 injured in shoot out

JAMMU, Nov 3: Two criminals were today shot at by members of a rival group at Simbal Camp in city outskirts.
As per police sources, Tejinder Singh alias Happy, son of Mahinder Singh and Satvir Singh alias Titu, son of Satnam Singh, who belong to Parvinder group, were fired upon by some members of Dilbagh group today at about 9 pm at Simbal camp, when they were going on a bike.
The sources said that the members of Dilbagh group led by Gagandeep Singh son of Janak Singh of Simbal Camp, had come on a white Scorpio car bearing registration number JK02BW-9521. As per preliminary reports, sources said that Gagandeep Singh first fired a bullet on Satvir Singh and then on Tejinder Singh, which hit Satvir in hand and Tejinder on right side of his back.
Both Satvir and Tejinder were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable. A case under relevant sections was registered at Miran Sahib police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
Police said that both Tejinder and Satvir as well as Gagandeep Singh had earlier been detained under Public Safety Act (PSA).
