POONCH, Jan 16: Two persons were injured today when their car plunged into a gorge in Surankote area of the district.
According to the reports, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK12A-8863, which was on its way from Jammu towards Mandi (Poonch), skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge near Potha Byepass.
The mishap occurred today at about 4 PM. In the mishap, two persons travelling in the vehicle got injured. They were identified as Ghulam Nabi son of Mohd Ibrahim, resident of Mandi and Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Chhamber (Mandi).
The injured were rescued by Army Jawans, who shifted them to Sub District Hospital, Surankote for treatment. The concerned police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
