POONCH, June 3: Two houses and a car were damaged in two separate landslides in Kalai and Dannar area of DKG in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that two residential houses were severely damaged during last night due to landslide in Kalai area of Poonch. The owners of damaged houses are identified as Mohd Din, son of Raj Mohd and Mohd Sharief, son of Mohd Shafi. However, the family members escaped in the incident.
A swift D’zire car bearing registration number JK12A-9762 was damaged due to fall of trees followed by landslide in Dannar area of DKG in Poonch.
Tehsildar concerned said that the team from the Revenue Department has visited the damaged houses to assess the loss and both the cases shall be taken up by the department to assist the owners under the relevant guidelines.
