RAJOURI, Dec 11: Two houses were badly damaged when they caught fire after lightning in remote area of Kotranka (Kandi) last night.
Reports said that house of one Muneer Hussain, son of Shah Mohammed, resident of Rehan ( Kandi) suddenly caught fire after strong beam of light from the sky hit the kutcha structure. The house comprising of four rooms, was gutted completely. No loss of human or animal life was reported.
Another adjoining house of one Abdul Aziz was also engulfed in flames and got damaged. Cattle from the house were saved but most of the house hold goods were damaged in the fire incident. No immediate assistance/ help has been provided to the poor families by the local administration. The neighbours have provided them the shelter and rendered helping hand.
