SRINAGAR, Mar 31: Security forces today busted two militant hideouts in two different sectors along the Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.
An official said in two different anti-militancy operations at Keran and Pingla Teethwal, two hideouts were unearthed with recovery of huge quantity of arms and ammunition.
The operation at Pingla Teethwal was launched last evening in the forest area after specific inputs about a militant hideout in the area.
The official said that a militant hideout was unearthed and huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered by Army’s 17 Bihar Unit in Pingla Teethwal in Tangdhar area. He said the recoveries made are 2 pistols, 3 magazines and 33 live rounds.
In another operation launched jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army, they recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in the forest area in Keran sector.
An official said that a special team was dispatched from Kupwara towards Keran after receiving specific inputs about the accumulation of arms and ammunition in the forest area of Keran sector.
The team recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from the hideout in Keran sector.
