JAMMU, Mar 15: Two drug peddlers were arrested by police in Jammu’s Jourian area and 20 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession, a police official said.
He said that 15 grams of heroin was recovered from one Mohammad Yousif of Datryal Village in Marh Tehsil of Jammu District and 5 grams of heroin was recovered from one Raj Kumar of Jourian at a surprise naka established at Garhi Village of Jourian area.
“The accused have been booked in case FIR number 88/2023 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up,” said the police official.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Post Jourian led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Harjeet singh and incharge Police Post Jourian PSI Karnail Singh.
