UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: In separate incidents, a labourer of Gammon India Ltd and an elderly man at Air Force Quarters in Udhampur were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The Gammon Company laborer was found dead in a nallah near Khari National Highway, about 4 kms from the Udhampur town.
The deceased was identified as Dev Raj (32), son of Maharaj of Nepal, Police took the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and registered a case under Section 174 RPC for further investigation.
In separate incident, 70 years old Ram Naresh of Bagan Pur Uttar Pradesh (UP), father of a cook in Air Force, was found dead at Air Force Quarters under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed Police shifted the body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and registered a case under 174 RPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two linemen were injured due to electric shock at village Kanah in Ramnagar areas of Udhampur district.
Gita Ran Sharma, son of Durga Dass of Dalsar and Manhor Lal, son of Makhan Lal of Kanah, sustained electric shock while replacement transformer in village Dalsar. Ramnagar.
