JAMMU, Mar 6: Police claimed on Monday that they have arrested two drug peddlers from Shastri Nagar area of the district and recovered from their possession 13 grams of heroin.
Police said the accused Akash Kasgotra and Sonu Jamwal of Nai Basti Jammu were arrested at a naka placed near Shastri Nagar Shamshan Ghat with the consignment.
“They have been booked in case FIR number 53/2023 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station,” police said, adding that the further investigation is on.
