2 drug peddlers arrested with opium

SAMBA, Aug 6: District Police Samba has arrested two drug peddlers today and recovered 45 grams of opium from their possession.
A police party of Police Station, Samba headed by SHO, Inspector, Shiv Dev Singh under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj during patrolling in the SIDCO Chowk area here, noticed some suspicious activity inside an Alto Car bearing Registration No. JK21D-8806 which was lying side by near the SIDCO Chowk.
During frisking of the two persons sitting inside the car, 45 grams of Opium was recovered from their possession. The accused persons identified as Sonu Din S/o Mohd. Ali, R/o Mehma Pandori Tehsil and district Amritsar in Punjab and Murad Baksh @ Muradu S/o Haji Kalu R/o Chak Manga Gujjran, Samba have been arrested and the contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No.161/2019 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Samba and investigation started.
