UDHAMPUR, Nov 9: Udhampur Police today arrested two drug peddlers in different cases under the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri and recovered 30.90 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from possession of the accused.
Patrolling party of Police Post Tikri, led by PSI Abdul Satar and assisted by Insp Rajesh Sharma, SHO PS Rehambal, intercepted one suspicious person. On frisking of the apprehended person, namely Azhar Chandel, son of Mohd Rafiq of Housing Colony, Udhampur, Police recovered 20.50 grams of Heroin like narcotic substance from him.
The accused was arrested on the spot and the narcotics was seized. In this regard, case FIR number 260/2022, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
In another success, police party of PP Tikri intercepted a motorcyclist riding the motorcycle JK02AH- 9289. On frisking of the motorcycle rider, namely Tariq Hussain son of Shah Mohd of Chak Rakwallan, Police team recovered 10.40 grams of Heroin like substance and arrested the said person on the spot.
In this regard, case FIR number 259/2022, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
