REASI, Feb 28: Reasi Police arrested two drug peddlers and seized 400 grams of cannabis from their possession.
Reports said that Police Party of Sulla Naka intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK14E- 6969, which was coming from Katra towards Reasi. During checking, 20 chhallies of cannabis weighing 400 grams were recovered from the car.
Police arrested the car driver and his associate, who were identified as Bashir Ahmed son of Sharief Mohd of Chamba Chandwan and Jamat Ali son of Abdul Rashid of Paroh, Tehsil Katra . Car as well as the recovered cannabis were also seized on the spot.
In this connection, case FIR Number 22/2020 U/S 8/20/29 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation of the case is going on.
