KATRA, Aug 27: Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered approx 08 grams of Heroin like narcotics from their possession.
During routine patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area at Katra, Police party intercepted two persons namely, Sanjay Kumar son of Puran Chand of Dansal, Jammu and Manik Dogra son of Bodh Raj of Ward No. 6 Katra.
During checking, approximately 08 grams of Heroin like narcotics was recovered from their possession. In this regard a case FIR number 271/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
The arrest was made by SHO P/S Katra, Insp Nishant Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Katra Surinder Singh and overall supervision of SP Katra Vipan Chandran.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta, while sharing the details, said that Reasi police was committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and he appealed to public to support in its war against drugs for which any information pertaining to drug peddlers be shared with District Police on 24×7 helpline number 9070907017 where identity of caller is kept secret.
