KATRA, Dec 11: Continuing its drive against psychotropic and narcotic substances, Katra Police today arrested two drug peddler and recovered 1.36 kg of cannabis from their possession.
The accused, namely Talib Hussain son of Mir Bagh of Gran More Reasi and Mohd Younis son of Mohd Sharief of Dangakote Reasi were apprehended when they were moving near Nangal road Katra in a van bearing registration number .JK20A-7871, which was on way towards Katra from Udhampur. 1.360 kg cannabis was recovered from the van
A case FIR number 269/2019, under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Katra. The arrest was made by SHO PS Katra Inspr Pardeep Gupta, assisted by SI Suman Singh I/C TAG Katra, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar Sharma and ASP Katra Naresh Singh.
