2 drivers among 9 injured in accident

RAMBAN, Sept 15: Nine persons including two drivers received injuries in collision of two vehicles at Makerkot Morh, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramsu police station.
As per police sources, at about 11:30 hours, a Tavera car bearing registration number JK03D-2360 on its way from Jammu to Srinagar collided with a Tata Mahindra (JK22-0534) at Makerkot Morh, resulting into injuries to nine persons including drivers of both the vehicles.
On getting information, police team led by SHO Ramsu Inspector Nazir Dar and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ramsu, where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Ajiz Ahmed, son of Mir Hussain of Kupwara, Manzoor Ahmed, son of Mohammad Maqbool Pader of Bijbehara, Abdul Gani Dar, son of Abdul Ahmed Dar of Baramulla, Mohammad Shadab, son of Mohammad Mehraj, Mohammad Sultan, son of Mohammad Alias, Gul Sher Ahmed, son of Mohammad Amin and Asrar Ahmad, son of Ishaq Ahmed, all residents of Bejnor, Uttar Pradesh, Mohammad Khalil (driver of Tavera), son of Mohammad Yousuf of Haripura Chupain and Ghulam Mohammad (driver of Tata-Mahindra), son of Ali Mohammad Dar of Achora Baramulla.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Ramsu and investigation started.
