RAJOURI, Aug 22: Two bike riders were killed in a road accident near Chhaprian on the outskirts of the town here on Rajouri- Kotranka road this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 2.20 pm when the three youth riding on a motor-cycle No. JK-22/ 8562 were hit by an autorikshaw No. JK-11/3732. The people said that both, bike and auto were over speeding.
After collision near the bridge at Chhaprian, the youth were thrown away with its impact and sustained multiple injuries. They were rushed to hospital by the locals and police where two of them were declared as brought dead due to head injuries. One of them was said to be killed on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Mohd Tufail (26), son of Abdul Aziz and Mohd Anwar (31), son of Mohd Sharief, both residents of Khawas. Seriously injured Tufail’s brother – Mohd Ashraf was admitted to district hospital Rajouri. The police has registered a case in this connection. The auto driver has been arrested.
