2 die in Mughal road mishap

POONCH, June 11: Two persons including a driver were killed when a Tata Mobile vehicle landed into a 400 feet deep gorge on Mughal Road in district Poonch this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 5.45 pm when a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number No. JK-12/ 1129 was on way to Sunrakote side from Shopian. When it reached near Ratta Chhamb ahead of Poshana, the driver lost control on the speeding vehicle and it rolled down into nearly 400 feet gorge. The driver and his associate were killed on the spot.
A police party from Behramgalla and Army jawans from a nearby unit reached the spot and later their dead bodies were shifted on the road. The deceased were identified as Nazarat Ali (24), son of Mohd Taz, resident of Behra in Mendhar and Mushtaq Ahmed (22), son of Mohd Sharief, a resident of Mendhar. The police has taken cognizance.
