SRINAGAR, June 29: Two persons died while eight others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A tanker driver who was injured in a road accident on 26th this month in Qazigund, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites. A case already stands registered in this regard.
A motorcycle bearing registration number JK03C/1606 driven by Aamir Ahmad Sofi son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Padgampora, Awantipora hit and injured a pedestrian Jalal-ud-din Dar son of Mohammad Ismail Dar resident of Goori Kadal, Awantipora on National Highway near Kharmod, Awantipora. The motorcyclist also got injured in this accident. Both the injured were shifted to SMHS, Srinagar for treatment where Jalal-ud-din succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a vehicle JK04C/9661 driven by Zulfkar Ahmad Para son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Batapora Khag hit and injured a 7 year boy Yawar Ahmad Sheikh son of Noor Mohammad Sheikh resident of Pethzonigam at Bozanigen, Budgam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, an Innova JK01L/0395 hit and injured a pedestrian Hajirah wife of Abdul Ahad Khatana resident of Aawoora, Pahalgam near Bus Stand Pahalgam. The injured was shifted to Public Health Centre, Pahalgam for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another road accident, a motor cycle CH01AP/4113 driven by Haroon Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahamd resident of Khairbugh Ashmuqam skidded off the road at Ganesh Pora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ashmuqam. The motorcyclist was injured and was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In yet another accident, a motorcycle JK15/3630 driven by Shakeel Ahmad Akhoon son of Jameel Akhoon resident of Sonarwani turned turtle at Mangipora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and two pillon mates. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital, Bandipora for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a vehicle coming from Doodh Pathri to Khansahib skidded off the road near Paress Madan, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Khansahib. Mohammad Yousuf Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Namblahal who was boarding the vehicle got injured. He was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
