SRINAGAR, May 3: Two persons died and six other were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir.
Police spokesperson said an Auto Load Carrier JK03/7610 hit and injured a pedestrian Ali Mohammad Wani, son of Mohammad Abdullah resident of Danaw Kandimarg at Chowalgam. The injured was shifted to the hospital; however, he succumbed on his way to hospital.
A Tipper JK08A/6194 fell into river Jhelum near Lelhar, Kakpora, Pulwama, resulting in death of the driver Anayatullah Sofi, son of Abdul Hamid resident of Watalpora, Rawalpora, Srinagar. Later body of the driver was fished out with the help of fire services and locals. The body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
An A-Star bearing registration number JK03C/3871 and Maruti Car 800 JK03C/9646 collided at Halmullah Bijbehara, Anantnag. The driver of A-Star vehicle Showket Qadir, Sofi son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Janglat Mandi Anantnag was injured in the mishap. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Bus JK05/0395 hit and injured Waqar Ahmed Mir, son of Wali Mohammad Mir resident of Nowshera Boniyar near B.Ed Collage Kichama Sheeri, Baramulla. The injured was shifted to Sub District, Hospital Sheeri for treatment.
A Tipper JK05C/1425 and Bus JK01K/8372 collided at Barsoo resulting in minor injuries to two passengers, the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Scooter JK01/8807 hit and injured a pedestrian Said Bin Yousuf, son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Wadvan Budgam near Ibrahim Colony Hyderpora, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has taken cognizance in all the cases.
