2 die, 125 fresh cases in Kashmir; 29 in Leh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Nov 16: Two persons died of COVID-19 and 125 tested positive in Kashmir division today while 19 fresh cases were reported in Jammu region. The UT of Ladakh recorded 29 new cases, all in Leh district.
Twenty nine fresh cases have taken number of active positive cases in Ladakh to 200 including 196 in Leh and four in Kargil district.
Among 19 new cases registered in Jammu region today, the highest 13 were reported from Jammu district, two each in Udhampur and Ramban districts and one each in Rajouri and Doda while rest five districts didn’t report any cases.
Fourteen persons recovered from the virus leaving behind number of active positive cases in Jammu region to 228.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 125 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 51 from Srinagar, 21 from Baramulla, 6 from Budgam, 12 from Pulwama, 9 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 8 from Bandipora and 16 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 209,784 including 206,192 recoveries and 2,276 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,544 including 1,316 from Kashmir division.
With 103 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 328,433 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
