JAMMU, Sept 13: Two-day Management Development Programme on ‘Strengthening Lending Decisions to MSMEs’ was inaugurated today at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Organized by Faculty of Management, SMVD University, the programme aims at equipping the participants with necessary skills, perspectives and strategies to enable them to build a sustainable and healthy MSME credit portfolio.
The programme witnessed participation from officers of various bank organizations like Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, Syndicate Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, J&K Grameen Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce.
During the inaugural ceremony, Prof D Mukhopadhyay, Dean Faculty of Management, spoke about the challenges and issues facing the MSME sector of Indian economy. Dr Sanjay Kumar Mishra, the organizing secretary of the programme, briefed the participants about the programme.
Spread through two days, September 13-14, 2014, the programme shall witness sessions from eminent resource persons. Dr Vikas Srivastava, IIM Lucknow, is having a session on ‘Strategic Issues in Credit Policy for MSME’ and ‘Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment: Score Based Lending for Small Business’ with the participants.
Dr Sanjay Kumar Mishra, SMVDU, is deliberating on ‘Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment: Cash Flow Based Lending for Small Business’ and ‘Developing Loan Proposals’. Prof Manoj Kumar, Flame School of Business, Pune, shall be talking on ‘Accounting Minefields and Credit Decisions’.
