2 criminals arrested with country made pistols, live round

JAMMU, Nov 3: Bishnah and Vijaypur police foiled a murder plot with the arrest of a criminal along with country made pistol and live round.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka near Peer Baba and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered one country made pistol and one live round from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Mithun Kumar alias Deepu, son of Dev Raj, a resident of Village Phinder tehsil RS Pura district Jammu.
The arrested person Mithun Kumar alias Deepu was a notorious criminal and was associated with Ranjit Singh (Ex-Sarpanch) alias Lugga group. He was also involved in murder and attempt to murder cases registered with Bishnah and Miran Sahib Police Stations. With his arrest, police has also foiled a murder plot.
A case under FIR Number 196/19 under section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Rakesh Bandral made the arrest under the supervision of Additional SP RS Pura Sheema Qasba, SP Headquarters Jammu Farooq Qasier and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
Meanwhile, a team from Vijaypur Police Station led by SHO Inspector Chaman Ghorkha under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Dr Lov Karan Taneja arrested a criminal on Ramgarh Road near mini-bus stand along with country made pistol.
The accused has been identified as Raghubir Singh alias Rinku alias Dana, son of Parshotam Singh of Chorli tehsil Bishnah, district Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused Raghubir Singh was a notorious criminal and is involved in number of heinous cases registered in district Jammu and at Police Station Vijaypur in district Samba.
A case under FIR Number 166/19 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation initiated.
