KATHUA, July 24: SSP Kathua Atul Goel today placed two Police personnel under suspension in connection with Bani blast case.
A police spokesman said that Head Constable (Munshi) Bhushan Lal and Constable Mohd Rafiq on ‘Santry’ duty at Bani Police Station were suspended for their negligence in the blast inside Police Station. He said the PWD work supervisor mishandled the explosive material inside Thana and negligence on part of cops also led to the incident.
Meanwhile, SSP Kathua directed the Additional SP Zahid Manhas to hold departmental inquiry and submit a report within week’s time.
