2 burglars nabbed, stolen property recovered

RAJOURI, May 2: With the arrest of two alleged burglars, Rajouri police claimed to have busted a gang involved in the series of thefts in the town and recovered stolen property worth more than rupees three lakhs from their possession.
Giving details a police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, incharge Police Post City Rajouri, SI Jehangir Ahmed under the close supervision of SSP, Dr Haseeb Mughal conducted a raid in the house of Mohammad Arshad, son of Faqar Din and seized huge quantity of stolen items which include 20 Gas Cylinders, 02 Petro max cylinders, 04 mobile phones, 02 bicycles, two big stabilizers, 03 small stabilizers, one amplifier, one speakers set, one electric tea pot, one Car body cover, one glass set, one set of pent-shirt, two mobile chargers, 28 packets of Cigarette and 04 packets Bedi bundles.
In this connection, case FIR No 217/2015 U/S 454/380 RPC has been registered in Police Station Rajouri and further investigation was in progress. More arrests are expected, the police said.
