KATRA, Nov 27: In a big success against smuggling of illicit liquor to the holy town, Katra Police today arrested two bootleggers and seized 116 pouches of country made liquor from their possession.
The accused were identified as Ashok Kumar of Kanyal Jammu and Chain Ram of Serwar, near Ghar, Police said.
The duo was arrested during a naka by Katra Police, led by SHO Ajay Bhat at Garmal area near the holy town. They were smuggling 116 pouches of liquor for illegal sale in Katra.
A case under 48 Excise Act and Section 188 of RPC has been registered against the accused.
