2 bootleggers arrested, missing youth recovered

Kathua, Jan 4: Kathua Police apprehended two persons with 80 pouches of JK Excise liquor  180 ml each and also recovered 10 liters of lahan in two concurrent actions falling under the jurisdiction of P S Kathua.
Acting on a specific information, police parties of Police Station Kathua deputed by Inspector Anil Sharma, SHO Kathua recovered  10 liters of  illicit liquor near Chan Gran area falling under the jurisdiction of PS Kathua. The illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of one Surinder Kumar, S/o Balbir Chand caste Sansi R/o Chak Drab Khan near Changran area.  A case  FIR No. 01/2018 U/S 48 A Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Kathua.
The another team of Police Station Kathua seized 80 pouches of JK Excise liquor 180 ml each in Kalibari area. The liquor was recovered from the possession of one Gulshan Kumar S/o Dharampal R/o Sounthal tehsil Kathua.  A case FIR No 05/2018 U/S 48-a Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Kathua in this regard.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Sanjay Parihar Additional SP Kathua and overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Mohammed Suleman Choudhary.
The Kathua Police has also recovered a youth who was reportedly missing since December 16 last year and was working as a private servant at a shop in Kathua.
The Kathua police after recovering the youth handed over him to his parents after completing the legal formalities.
