SRINAGAR, Aug 03: Police arrested two bootleggers and recovered illicit liquor from their possession during a naka checking at Budshah Bridge here today.
A Police spokesman said that during naka checking at Budshah Bridge, police party of Police Station Maisuma intercepted a Sumo bearing number JK01L/2060. On checking the vehicle 11 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from the possession of two persons identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Reban Sopore and Fasil Nazir Malik, a resident of Nasoo Bandipora.
He said a case FIR number 23/2018 under section 50 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Maisuma and investigation has been taken up.
