Srinagar, Apr 8: Cracking down on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police today seized two vehicles and arrested their drivers in Baramulla.
Authorities stated that a police party, under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Baramulla, assisted by SHO PS Sheeri, seized two vehicles (a tipper and an excavator) and arrested two drivers.
The arrested drivers have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Malla, son of Abdul Kareem, and Anzar Ahmad Malla, son of Shabir Ahmad, both residents of Sheeri Baramulla.
Accordingly, police said, a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Sheeri, and further investigation has been initiated.
