2 arrested with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Oct 14: Pounichak and Kishtwar police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Pounichak Police Post apprehended a person along with 52 pouches of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Kamal Lal, son of Gopi Ram of Suhagni. He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches for selling in his native area to earn illegitimate profits.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak Police Post SI Arun Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rattan Singh Rana, SDPO Domana Varinder Singh Katal and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
Meanwhile, a team from Kishtwar Police Station arrested a shopkeeper identified as Kunj Lal, son of Mangal Sen of Sarkoot, at present Bus Stand Kishtwar along with 52 pouches of illicit liquor, which he was selling among the people.
A case under FIR Number 200/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jellani made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Tussif Ahmed and SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary.
