DODA, Sept 11: Assar police arrested two persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor bottles from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Assar Police Station led by SHO Rouf Ahmed Khan laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra Pick-Up van bearing registration number JK14F-0379.
During checking, police recovered 100 bottles of illicit liquor and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Satish Kumar, son of Manohar Lal, a resident of Thandapani, Assar and Bittu Ram (driver), son of Churu Ram, a resident of Batote.
A case under FIR Number 16/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
