SRINAGAR, Nov 2: Police today arrested two militant associates of Al-Badr from Shalteng area of Srinagar.
A police spokesman said that during late night checking at a security checkpoint along Shalteng Bridge by the joint parties of Police Station Parimpora and Police Chowki Mujgund, two militant associates of Al-Badr were arrested.
They have been identified as Yawar Rashid son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Basit Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Sader Bala, Bandipora.
“During search, incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including one pistol, two pistol Magazines, 28 pistol rounds and one hand grenade were recovered from their possession,” police added.
A case (FIR No. 159/2023) under relevant Sections of law has been registered in PS Parimpora and investigation has been initiated.
