UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: The Police today apprehended two absconders, who were evading arrests since 1994 and 1996, respectively.
Absconders namely Amarjeet Singh, son of Rangeel Singh of Karan Nagar, Jammu absconding in case FIR No. 125/1992 U/S 279/338 RPC , 185 MV Act of Police Station Udhampur was arrested by Police team of Police Station Udhampur after 25 years of commission of crime.
A warrant of arrest under section 512 CrPC was issued by Court of CJM Udhampur against the accused on May 24, 1996.
Another absconder namely Ranjit Singh, son of Romal Singh, resident of Ambphala Jammu absconding in case FIR No. 328/1992 U/S 279/304 A RPC of PS Udhampur, was arrested from Jammu after developing reliable input about his wareabouts.
A general warrant of arrest was also issued against him by a local court. Both the absconders have been arrested by Police team of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Chaman Gorkha. They were being produced in the court.
