SRINAGAR: As many as 19 Medical and Paramedical staff members from Sub District Hospital Keller in south Kashmir district of Shopian were suspended for remaining absent from duty.
An official spokesperson here today said that in a surprise visit to Sub-District Hospital Keller today, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian placed under suspension 19 Medical and Paramedical staff members for unauthorized absence from duty.
“This move was against the backdrop of various complaints received by District Administration about the deteriorating work culture in the hospital and inconvenience caused to the patients,” he said. The ADC assured the public that a transparent inquiry will be held into the matter and delinquent officials will be dealt strictly as per rules for negligence of duty, he said. (AGENCIES)
