RAJOURI, Feb 17: At least 18 persons were injured when a mini-bus over turned on the road near bridge, hardly 200 meters away from old bus stand heer today.
Official sourfes said that the mishap took place when the vehicle No. JK02AQ / 4882 was on way to Doongi Agrati from Rajouri. At a sharp curve near bridge, the vehicle over turned on the road, causing injuries to 18 passengers.
The injured were rushed to District Hospital, Rajouri where most of them were discharged after providing first aid. Two injured were still undergoing treatment. The police said that vehicle was in speed and it has taken cognizance of the matter.
The injured have been identified as Ulfat Begum, wife of Barket Hussain; Jati Bi, wife of Gul Mohammad; Dil Jaan, wife of Mohammad Jameel; Shamim Akhter, wife of Mohammad Ramzan; Farman Ali, son of Barket Hussain; Nesar Hussain, son of Mohammad Shah; Zulaikha Bi, wife of Mohammad Ishaq; Sabia Kouser, daughter of Mohammad Khaliq; Mukesh Kumar, son of Manohar Ali; Khaliq Hussain, son of Hakim Din; Nazia Kouser, wife of Mohammad Shafiq; Nagma Kouser, wife of Afzal Khan; twin brothers Azan Khan and Subhan Khan, sons of Afzal Khan; Mohmmad Ishaq, son of Faqr Din; Chanchal Devi, wife of Des Raj and Parvesh Sharma, son of Bishnu Dass-all hailing from Agrati area.
