JAMMU, Mar 13: A Lok Adalat was organized at Munsiff Court (complex) Kotranka during which 18 civil and criminal cases were disposed off.
The Lok Adalat was held in the administrative guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge Rajouri A K Sharma. The Lok Adalat was presided over by Shafeeq Ahmad, Chairman Teshil Legal Service Committee (Munsiff) Kotranka wherein around 20 cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat out of which 18 cases disposed on spot through amicable negotiation, reconciliation.
Traffic cases were taken upon and all of them were disposed and recovery of compensation of Rs 1500/- on spot besides and Rs 57000 as compensation was given to complainant.
The Lok Adalat witnessed encouraging response from litigants. Besides Senior PO, advocates as well as Teshil Legal Services Committee members participated in the Lok Adalat.
