SRINAGAR: It was a dream come to true for 179 brave hearts from Jammu and Kashmir who became members of the Army today when they participated in the passing-out-parade after completing a strenuous training.
Emotional scenes were witnessed at a passing out parade held at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) Regimental Centre, Rangreth. Marching in precise unison with a singular aim of devoting themselves to the nation’s cause, singing their Regimental Song “Balidanam Veer Lakshnam”, the young soldiers inspired one and all as their voice echoed in the Valley.
Today Recruit Course Serial number 105 culminated, on having completed a strenuous training. Their Passing out Parade, depicting graduation of a Recruit and his transformation into a Young Soldier, was reviewed by Maj Gen Somnath Jha, who is the Chief of Staff of a Corps and was attended by over 2500 parents and relations of the young soldiers from all over the state of Jammu and Kashmir along with a number of civil and military dignitaries.
