1749 pilgrims pay obeisance at Amarnath shrine, 2.64 lakh have darshan so far

SRINAGAR: A fresh batch of 1749 pilgrims, including women and sadhus, paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in the south Kashmir Himalayas, where so far over 2.64 lakh yatris had darshan of the self made Ice-Shivlingam since the commencement of the 60-day-long pilgrimage from June 28.

An official spokesman said here this evening that on the 34th day of the ongoing Yatra, 1749 Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave. Till date 2,64,063 Yatris had the darshan of the Shivling at the Holy Cave. Majority of the pilgrims have since returned to their homes after the yatra which will conclude on August 26. (AGENCIES)
