RAJOURI, Sept 30: Forest Department retrieved nearly 173 kanals of its land during three separate operations in Nowshera Division of Rajouri district.
The operation was launched to clear this land grabbed by some locals of Bhawani, Nahoti and Dharamsal area under the supervision of DFO Nowshera A D Singh while Conservator of Forests, West Circle Jammu Samneer Bharti was closely coordinating.
The team led by Range Officer, Nowshera Sudesh Choudhary accompanied by Block officer Rajinder Kumar, during operation in Compartment No. 56/N near Bhawani retrieved nearly 20 kanals of forest land. The land grabber was also booked by the Forest Department.
In yet another operation led by Range Officer, Vinod Sharma, the team cleared nearly 114 kanals of forest land in Compartment No. 75/D falling in Nahoti area of Sunderbani. In addition to this. Another team led by Forester Madan Lal retrieved nearly 39 kanals of land in compartment No. 53/D of Dharamsal area.
