JAMMU, Sept 3: The 16th Sathapana Divas of Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsang Ashram was observed with religious fervour and gaiety in the Ashram premises today.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of the State attended the function. Swami Kumar Ji Maharaj the founder of the Ashram in his address stressed on righteous path in the light of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta teachings.
He also highlighted the Ashram activities. It was revealed that Ashram besides distribution of more than 16000 copies of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is ever ready to support the down-trodden, to provide education to students from low income group families, economic support for marriages to girls from poor families and holds mass Yagnopavit ceremonies.
It was said that Ashram yet achieved another mile stone by opening of library to serve community and humanity.
A hawan was also performed on the occasion which culminated with Puranahuti. This was followed by serving of prashad to devotees. R K Raina president ASSKPC, Prof A N Sadhu, Kundan Kashmiri, Ramesh Hangloo, Girish Gayal and Rajinder Kachroo were among others present on the occasion.
