JAMMU, Feb 12: The Home Department today ordered transfer and posting of 16 police officers besides ordering re-engagement of a retired SSP ranked officer on contractual basis.
As per an order issued in this context, Anayat Ali Choudhary, awaiting posting upon repatriation from Union Territory of Ladakh, has been posted as AIG (Procurement) PHQ. One post of Superintendent of Police from overall reserve shall be utilized for purpose of drawl of salary of the officer, the order said.
It has been further ordered that Master Popsy, Additional SP Reasi, has been transferred and posted as Deputy CO IR-7th Battalion, against an available vacancy, Ch Iftkhar Ahmed, awaiting posting upon repatriation from Union Territory of Ladakh, has been posted as Additional SP Pulwama, against an available vacancy, Feroz Ahmad Qadri, Deputy CO, IR-5th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as SP PTWS Kashmir, relieving Showkat Ahmad Dar, Commandant IR-4th Battalion of the additional charge of the post, and Pardeep Kumar, Deputy CO, IR-2nd Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP SIA against an available vacancy.
The order said Sunil Kumar Kesar has been posted as SP PC Doda against an available vacancy, Prithipal Singh as Deputy CO, IR-7th Battalion against an available vacancy, Zafar Iqbal Nawaz as Additional SP Handwara against an available vacancy, Bashir Ahmad as Deputy CO IR-21st Battalion, Iftkhar Ahmed as Additional SP Reasi vice Master Popsy, SP, Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad as Deputy CO IR-4th Battalion against an available vacancy, Aumer Iqbal as Deputy CO IR-22nd Battalion against an available vacancy, Shivani Kotwal as Deputy CO IR-14th Battalion against an available vacancy, Wajahat Hussain as Deputy CO IR-5th Battalion against an available vacancy, Mohammad Shafiq as Deputy CO IR-2nd Battalion against an available vacancy, and Rashid Younis as Additional SP Awantipora against an available vacancy.
Meanwhile, the Home Department also ordered re-engagement of retired SSP Ashok Kumar on contractual basis for a term of one year.
“In terms of Article 259 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations, 1956 sanction is hereby accorded to the engagement of Ashok Kumar, SSP (retired), on contractual basis, with immediate effect for a period of one year,” read another order.
