15th meeting of SLTF on Urban Cooperative Banks held

JAMMU, June 11: The 15th meeting of the State Level Task Force (SLTF) on Urban Cooperative Banks (TAFCUB) was held at RBI, Srinagar under the Chairmanship of KK Saraf, Regional Director for J&K, Reserve Bank of India.
The meeting was attended by Kamla Devi, Special Secretary, Cooperative Department, Anjana Tikoo, Additional Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Subhash Gupta, Chief Executive, National Federation of Co-operative Urban Banks, New Delhi, AK Mattu, General Manger, Reserve Bank of India, Jammu, PN Das, RBI, Central Office, Mumbai and CEOs of Urban Co-operative Banks operating in J&K.
The meeting reviewed the performance of the Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) in the State. The latest policy developments in the area of Urban Banking Sector and their specific issues were discussed in the meeting.
Chairman exhorted upon the banks to render exemplary services to customers in line with the regulatory requirements and customer expectations. He advised banks to complete the process of implementation of core banking solutions and allotment of Unique Customer Identification Code (UCIC).
He stressed upon the banks to reach out to maximum number people in their respective areas so as to achieve financial inclusion while ensuring robust financial health.
