15th Lok Sabha

Sir,
The 15th Lok Sabha has come to an end. But the way it ended was quiet disappointing and disheartening. The way business was conducted in the august House by the Hon’ble MPs has shocked the collective conscience of the nation. The Telengana issue was the lowest benckmark of Parliamentary proceedings so far. The threatre of absurd witnessed all sorts of  uruly scenes-fistfights adjournaments, disruption and sloganeering. Haring seen the new depths to which the Lok Sabha sunk past week, State Assemblies were not too far. In Uttar Pardesh RLD members staged a helf-naked protest, when the Governor sought to make his address to the Joint-sitting of the House. In J&K, a PDP MLA slapped a Marshal while being removed forcibly from the House. All these incidents have shamed the country. It is because of these acts that people feel disgusted with politics and the politicians. These House are meant for discussing and debating issues of public interest.
In the past, many animated discussions of the representatives were quite enlightening. It revealed their oratory skills, with  humour besides their knowledge of the issue. We now witness being power and muscle power which have defiled the sanctity of our august Houses.
Yours etc….
