JAMMU, July 14: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles today recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition at village Sarh in Chana area of Mahore tehsil in Reasi district.
Reports said the troops conducted searches operation at village Sarh in Chana area after development specific information provided by credible sources and recovered the consignment hidden in the fields.
The seized consignment included one AK-56 rifle with one magazine, one powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 15 kgs and 20 rounds of AK-56 ammunition.
Arms and ammunition had been concealed in a bag and buried three feet under the ground. They were detected with the help of deep search metal detector.
The explosive material was destroyed on spot.
