JAMMU, June 4: Jhajjar Kotli Police rescued 15 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Suram Singh laid a naka near Suketar and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK03B-4467.
During checking, police team rescued 15 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Nasir Mohammad, son of Ghulam Rasool of Kupwara and Irfan Ahmad, son of Ghulam Rasool of Kupwara.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
