DODA, July 24: Acting tough against the violation of SOPs for containment of COVID-19, District Administration Doda today fined 149 violators beside several vehicles were also seized in far-off Bhatyas area.
Aimed at to ensure the implementation of all the required SOPs in rural and far off areas of the hilly district to control the spread of coronavirus, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar Dattaray Doifode delegated Nodal Officer Jhakyas Tasleem Javed Wani to ensure the implementation of restrictions in rural areas of Bhalessa and impose fine on violators.
In this regard Tasleem Javed Wani said that all the people have been informed to follow the SOPs for the containment of COVID-19, and various advisories, SOPs and instructions have been issued from time to time.
He added that they are educating and motivating the villagers of the far off Bhalessa area since last 4 months to follow the SOPs, else strict action will be taken against the violators.
“Enough of motivation and education, now it’s time to act tough against the violators to ensure implementation of all the SOPs including social distancing, wearing of masks and spitting at public places”, said Wani.
“Since last couple of days, we have been imposing heavy fine on the violators and the result is evident on the roads and village markets, as the violators are falling in line”, Wani added.
Tasleem has appealed to the people of the district to follow the SOPs, else strict action will be taken against the violators.
