SRINAGAR: As many as 1476 Armed police personnel were promoted to the next level in the State, an official spokesperson said here today.
Among the promoted officials, he said one Head Constable has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), three Selection grade constables (SGCTs) have been promoted to the rank of Head Constable (HC) and 1472 Constables have been promoted to the rank of Selection Grade Constable in J&K Armed Police.
He said formal orders of these promotions were issued by Armed Police Headquarters J&K today after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K L Mohanti found the individuals eligible for their promotions to the next ranks. (AGENCIES)
