144 test +ve in J&K, 4 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Aug 6: No COVID casualties were reported in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh today. J&K recorded 144 new cases and Ladakh four.
Jammu region today reported 50 fresh cases including 15 each in Jammu and Doda districts, nine Udhampur, five Kishtwar, two each in Ramban and Rajouri and one each in Samba and Poonch districts.
Kathua and Reasi districts didn’t report any new COVID cases today.
As against 50 cases, 29 patients recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,22,084 cases. Among them, 574 are active positives as 1,19,362 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2148 casualties.
Out of four COVID positive cases reported in Ladakh today, two each were registered in Leh and Kargil districts.
The UT of Ladakh now has 62 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 94 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Srinagar reported 33 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 8, Pulwama 9, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 7, Bandipora 12, Ganderbal 5 and Kulgam 9.
As per officials figures, 71,569 positive cases including 833 deaths and 70,397 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,692 including 282 deaths and 23,275 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,941 including 22,657 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,217 including 14,971 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,103 including 165 deaths and 13,904 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,341 including 16,102 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,507 cases including 9,365 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,959 including 9,808 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,278 including 11,134 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,586 including 5,521 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 200,202 including 197,134 recoveries and 2,238 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,404 including 830 from Kashmir division.
With 98 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 316,496, which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
