Srinagar, June 2: At least 14 students fell ill after having a dinner during an inter-district Khokho tournament at North Kashmir’s Baramulla district last night.
Reports said the students were participating in an inter-district Khokho tournament organized by the Department of Sports at Girls Higher Secondary School Singhpora Kalan in the district.
Shortly after having dinner, they complained of vomiting and abdominal pain and were immediately rushed to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, an official said.
“These students had developed abdominal pain and were vomiting at the time of being admitted in the hospital. They were provided necessary treatment and were discharged later,” said a medical official. Police meanwhile said they are looking into the matter.
