JAMMU, Sept 9: Fourteen persons were injured, when the mini-bus they were traveling in turned turtle near Narwal, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
The ill-fated mini-bus bearing registration number JK02T-7969 carrying employees of Batra Hospital and others was on its way to Narwal from the Batra Hospital, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near Narwal, resulting into injuries to fourteen persons.
On getting information, police team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station led by SHO Sunil Sharma and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
All the injured were shifted to Batra Hospital and Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in police and other vehicles, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Rekha Devi (30), wife of Girdhari Lal of Dogra Hall, driver Romesh Kumar (45), son of Hardit of Janipur, Madan Lal (50), son of Shiv Ram of Dogra Hall, Saroj Dogra (45), wife of Jugal Kishore of Panjtirthi, Gagandeep (50), son of Shiv Dass of Nagri Kathua, Poonam Devi (35), wife of Vijay Kumar of Khadika Talab, Sumit Kumar (25), son of Sham Lal of Channi, Omkar Singh, son of Nand Singh of Nagri Kathua, Rajni Devi (24), wife of Sunil Kumar of Channi, Salochna, daughter of Roshan Lal of Sarthal Kishtwar, Santosh Kumari (45), wife of Madan Lal of Dogra Hall, Vivash (10), son of Jugal Kumar of Panjtirthi, Sat Bhushan (52), son of Om Prakash of Afghan Mohallah and Prem Lata (40), wife of Mosim Lal of Pacca Danga.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and investigation started.
