14 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Feb 14: Fourteen persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, six persons including three children were injured when two bikes collided at Khanpur in Nagrota area. The injured were identified as Ashok Kumar (34) son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Jagti (Nagrota), Yousuf Bashir (32) son of Bashir,  Sharda (28) and her three children namely, Tanish (5), Tania (9) and Anuj (6).
A youth identified as Sunny Bali (28) son of Raman Bali, a resident of Nanak Nagar, was also got injured this afternoon when a bike collided with a scooter in Trikuta Nagar. Two minor boys were also injured in Trikuta Nagar area when a scooter collided with a bike. The injured were identified as Ashish (14) son of naginder, a resident of Nanak Nagar and Praatham (14) son of Shashi, a resident of Bikram Chowk.
At Greater Kailash area of city outskirts, a motorcyclist identified as Harvinder Singh (26) son of Surinder Singh, a resident of Kothey Morh (Bishnah), received injuries when his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle.
A pedestrian identified as Shamas Din (26) son of Ghulam Ali, a resident of Janipur, was also injured when a car hit him near KC Theatre, Jammu.
At Toph Paloura, a mini-bus hit and injured a youth namely Rahul Dingra (18) son of Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Toph Paloura.
Two youth were injured near Green Belt Park in Gandhi Nagar area when a scooty was hit by an unknown vehicle. The injured were identified as Ashutosh (20) son of Tilak Raj of Mohinder Nagar and Bassu (20) son of Sanjeev Sharma of Talab Tillo.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. In all cases the concerned police had taken cognizance.
