RAJOURI, May 25: The police arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued 14 animals from their clutches in two separate incidents today.
Reports said that SHO Thannamandi Mohd Rafeed intercepted and rescued eight bovine animals and arrested one Mohd Ashraf, son of Mohd Sutan, resident of Latipora in Budgam.
SHO Rajouri, Yashpal Jamwal during naka at Muradpur today, rescued six bovine animals and nabbed one Sikander Hussain, son of Mohd Shabir, hailing from Doongi Garati in Rajouri. Cases were registered against both the accused persons.
